About Us

We answer the questions nobody else bothered to.

Complete Water Guide is an independent publication helping people make better decisions about water — what to drink, what to filter, what to skip. No bottled-water sponsors. No exaggerated claims. Just useful answers backed by real science.

Our Mission

Make water boring enough to actually understand.

Walk into any grocery store and you'll see thirty kinds of water — alkaline, hydrogen-infused, "raw," structured, mineral-enriched, electrolyte-loaded. Most of it is plain H₂O with marketing.

We started Complete Water Guide because the internet had two kinds of water content: glossy brand pages selling you something, or scientific papers nobody outside a lab would read. We sit in the middle — translating real research into plain-English guides that actually answer the question you searched.

If you came here looking for a calculator, you'll find it. If you came looking for whether a $40 alkaline water filter is worth it, we'll tell you honestly. That's it.

The Story

How a confused supermarket trip turned into a website.

A short, honest version — no inspirational music required.

2023

The frustrating aisle

Our founder spent twenty minutes in a grocery aisle reading water bottle labels — alkaline, electrolyte, "premium glacial source." The internet wasn't helpful. Marketing pages on top of search results, dense scientific papers below. Nothing in between.

Early 2024

First three guides

The first articles covered the basics — sparkling water health effects, what TDS actually means, whether distilled water is safe to drink daily. They got picked up by Reddit. Traffic doubled in a week.

Mid 2024

Tools, then writers

We built the first calculator (Daily Water Intake) because readers kept asking "okay, but how much for me specifically?" Then we brought on writers with actual backgrounds — nutrition, plumbing, water science.

2025 — now

Where we are today

120+ guides, five free tools, 50,000 readers a month. We're still small, still independent, still take zero money from water brands. That's the part that matters.

What We Stand For

Four rules that keep us actually useful.

If we ever break one, hold us to it.

— 01

No paid water reviews

No water brand pays to be reviewed, mentioned, ranked, or rated on this site. Affiliate links are clearly marked. Editorial decisions stay separate from commerce.

— 02

Cite or skip it

Every health claim links to a real source — peer-reviewed paper, FDA guidance, EPA data. If we can't find a citation, we don't make the claim.

— 03

Real bylines, real credentials

No anonymous AI-generated content. Every article has a human name and verifiable background — nutrition, plumbing, water science, fitness coaching.

— 04

Updated, not republished

Old guides get reviewed yearly and updated in place — new science added, dead links replaced. Each post shows when it was last touched. We don't fake new dates.

Transparency

How we pay for all this

Honest answer: ads and affiliate links. If you click an Amazon link to a water bottle and buy it, we get a small cut at no cost to you. We also run display ads. What we don't do is take money from any water brand to review their product, change a ranking, or remove a critical paragraph. The whole site stays free for readers because of the ads — and editorial stays free because of the rule.

If you spot a paid placement we missed disclosing, email us. We'll fix it the same day.

FAQ

Things readers ask about us.

Quick honest answers — same way we'd answer a friend.

— Q.01

Are your articles written by AI?

No — every article is written by a human author with a real byline. We sometimes use AI for spelling checks or first drafts of routine sections (like a unit conversion table), but the writing, research, and judgment is human. AI doesn't review brands or interpret studies on this site.

— Q.02

Do brands pay you for positive reviews?

Never. We've turned down sponsorships from major bottled-water brands. Affiliate links earn us a small commission if a reader buys, but we don't accept payment to write a review, change a ranking, or feature a brand. If we ever change that policy, this page will say so first.

— Q.03

Can I write for you?

Yes — if you have actual qualifications. We work with credentialed nutritionists, plumbers, water-treatment professionals, and certified coaches. Pitch us here. We don't accept generic SEO guest posts or backlink-only submissions.

— Q.04

How do I report an error?

Email us via the contact page. If you spot a factual mistake, a broken link, or outdated information, we'll review it within 48 hours and update the article with a visible note about the change. Reader corrections are how we stay accurate.

— Q.05

Do you sell anything?

No. No subscriptions, no e-books, no premium memberships. Everything on this site — every guide, calculator, tool — is free. We earn from ads and affiliate clicks, full stop.

— Q.06

Where are you based?

India, with contributors in the US and UK. The team is fully remote. Most of our readers are in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, so guides default to imperial units with metric alongside.
